The Tulip Festival was first held in 1971 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vaud Gardeners Association. Several of the beds are laid out by gardening apprentices from the Morges Vocational Centre. Located at the mouth of the River Morge, the Parc de l’Indépendance was created in 1898 on the occasion of the Vaud independence celebrations. The beauty of the park is enhanced by several monuments and impressive trees.
