Keukenhof (1)

Water Lily Crash

Every spring, Keukenhof offers a spectacular sight with millions of tulips and other flowers in bloom. Keukenhof, Dutch for “kitchen garden”, also known as the “Garden of Europe” is located near Lisse, southwest of Amsterdam in the south of Holland and reputed to be the world’s largest flower garden covering an area of some 32 hectares. Each year, around 7 million flower bulbs are planted in the park and when they bloom, they provide a blaze of colour against a background of splendid landscaped gardens in both traditional and contemporary styles. Around 4.5 million of the bulbs planted are tulips, in around 100 varieties.
